Obituary: Ashley Allen

Ashley Allen
March 1986 - November 2025

Ashley was a remarkably empathetic soul who enriched the lives of everyone she encountered with her profound love and understanding. Possessing a natural gift for healing from a very young age, she dedicated her life to this calling, serving as an EMT, a social worker in many fields including hospice and emergency services, a gifted and compassionate therapist, and a loving mother and aunt. Inspired by a deep passion for trauma recovery, she made extensive and lasting contributions across the fields of cultic studies, extremism, prison reform, veterans affairs, and domestic violence by providing therapy for survivors, developing programs, authoring articles, and coordinating on global initiatives. Her life was a testament to the profound impact one person can have: she changed countless lives through an extraordinary lifetime of service.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral services.

"My love is not gone — it is changing form. Watch for me in the quiet, in the wild, in the still moments when your heart aches. I will be there.
When you miss me, speak to me. I’ll be listening.
When you cry, let the tears come. They are holy.
When you laugh, know that I am close."
