"Mathura: Dr Vishakha Tripathi, the elder daughter of Indian spiritual guru Jagatguru Kripalu Maharaj, died and her two other sisters were seriously injured in a road accident on Sunday, the police said. The accident took place while she, along with her younger sisters, Shyama, 69, and Krishna Tripathi, 67, were heading from Mathura to Noida on Sunday morning, the police added. Soon after the accident, a police team reached the spot and admitted the injured to Kailash Hospital in Noida where Vishakha breathed her last while undergoing treatment. According to sources, the three sisters had planned to go to Singapore for personal work, therefore, they were going to Delhi by car to board the flight. At that time, a speeding Canter hit back-to-back two cars on Yamuna Expressway, sources added.

According to officials, the 75-year-old Vishakha Tripathi's body will reach Vrindavan late on Sunday evening, and the last rite will be performed on the banks of the Yamuna River. Dr Vishakha Tripathi was the president of the Prem Mandir of Vrindavan and the Mangadi Mandir of Pratapgarh. Soon after receiving the information, the officials from Vrindavan Prem Mandir left for Noida. After the death of Jagatguru Kripalu Maharaj, Dr Vishakha Tripathi became the president of Prem Mandir of Vrindavan and Mangadi Mandir of Pratapgarh."

The daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj was killed on Sunday after a truck rammed into her car here, police said.

Vishakha Tripathi (75) along with her two sisters and five others was travelling to Delhi from Vrindavan via Yamuna Expressway, in two cars. From there, they were to travel to Singapore, police said.

On Sunday morning, a canter driver hit both cars in the Dankaur area. Eight people including Maharaj's three daughters were seriously injured in the accident, a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said that the victims were admitted to hospitals in Noida and Delhi for treatment, where Vishakha Tripathi died. Seven other people, including the sisters, Krishna Tripathi and Shyama Tripathi, were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment.

Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat in a condolence message said that it is with great sorrow that it has to be informed that the President of Bhakti Dham, Dr Vishakha Tripathi has unfortunately passed away and her last rites will be performed in Vrindavan.

The fake gurus (and that is most of the ones targeting Westerners) can smell their innocence, their desperation, their desires — and they use it all against them to create a spiritual lure and set a trap.

"Three married couples and two men were detained during a midnight raid on a house here on suspicion of being followers of the deviant Millah Abraham sect.

Melaka education, higher education and religious affairs committee chairman Rahmad Mariman said the suspects, aged between 28 and 71, were retired civil servants, private sector workers, self-employed and housewives.

"The authorities received a public complaint about the spread and practice of the Millah Abraham teachings, which have been declared deviant and contrary to Islamic teachings in Melaka through a fatwa.

Police Apprehend Driver and Conductor in Kripalu Maharaj Daughter's Tragic Road Incident

The driver and conductor responsible for the accident involving the car of Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj, have been detained. The accident occurred on the Yamuna Expressway while the victims were traveling to Delhi. A case has been registered under multiple legal sections.

The driver and conductor linked to a fatal accident involving the car of Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, eldest daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj, were arrested, police confirmed Tuesday.

The tragic road collision on the Yamuna Expressway claimed Dr. Tripathi's life and left others critically injured. The accused, residents of Firozabad, had initially fled the accident scene, said Dankaur SHO Munendra Kumar.

While Bablu was arrested on Monday, Sonu was tracked down early Tuesday for questioning. The victims were en route to Delhi, intending to travel to Singapore. Legal charges have been filed, and distressing footage of the wreckage has surfaced online.

NCR: New book on Opus Dei is salacious, but fails to offer critical insight

"Almost since Opus Dei was founded in 1928 in pre-Franco Spain, the conservative Catholic group has been described as a "shadowy," "secretive," "cult-like" "sect." Every few years that image, which clings to the organization like stinkweed, is reinforced in the press; as long ago as 1957, Time magazine referred to members as the "White Masons." Not for nothing did the writer Dan Brown smell the opportunity to depict a fictionalized Opus Dei as the vessel for a dangerous, cultish secret society in his bestseller The Da Vinci Code.

And of course, Opus Dei — which means "work of God" in Latin — is conservative, secretive and controversial. It has faced criticism from within the church and been embroiled in various intrachurch battles since the 1930s. Whether you view it as an insidious, ultraconservative sleeper cell or a righteous force fighting for orthodoxy in a hostile world likely reflects your own ideological priors.

Part of what makes Opus Dei unique in the church is its status as the sole personal prelature. It is not a religious order, and its ranks include both clergy and laypeople, including some of the most prominent conservative Catholics in America. Its core idea, which founder Josemaría Escrivá said was revealed to him in a vision, is the sanctification of ordinary life by laypeople living the Gospel, and its practices are rigorous and demanding.

Because of its secrecy and reach, it has drawn scrutiny from the Vatican. Under Pope John Paul II, Opus Dei was celebrated and elevated to a prelature, with Escrivá declared a saint. Pope Francis has been warier, with the organization becoming the focus of reform efforts amid a fresh round of controversies.

Among the worst of those are allegations of human trafficking in Francis' native Argentina. Prosecutors there launched an investigation of members of the organization in September accusing them of human trafficking and slave labor. Amid persistent complaints and lawsuits are claims that Opus Dei has recruited poor young rural girls in Argentina with promises of education and a better life, only to consign them to years of hard work with no pay. It is the broadest claim ever made against the organization, which has "categorically" denied the allegations."

Motivated by her experience, she founded AIS Pro Juventud (Advice and Information on Sects) from Barcelona with the aim of combating this type of coercive groups and offering support to victims and their families. " ... The mother's views on homosexuality

Controversy arose when Andrew Harvey, a devoted follower, said that she suggested to him that he break up with his boyfriend, marry a woman, and make public claims that Meera had cured him of his homosexuality. He cut ties with Meera and published a book about it.

Akin to leaving a cult, he claims that her followers harassed him mercilessly afterwards, even trying to get him fired from his job.

It's worth noting that Andrew Harvey's previous books, full of praise, were the very reason for Mother Meera's popularity in the Western world. It seems unlikely he would lie about this after spending 10 years with her.

To further his claim, a previously published edition of one of her works, Answers Part II, contained language that spoke out against homosexuality.

When confronted with this, one of her closest aides said it was a publishers' mistake and that the mother had never uttered such a thing. Avatars don't make mistakes, apparently. The book was later revised to omit the topic entirely."

Martin Goodman was asked to write Meera's official biography. His investigation took him to India, where he interviewed people who had known her for a long time.

The reports were not that great. People who had known Meera growing up did not agree with her devotees' lofty opinions of her.  Goodman wrote a very approachable, human biography of the Mother. While it was not 100% positive, he remained her follower and continued to believe that she was the real deal.

Her staff asked him to destroy the manuscript. They've cultivated this aura of divinity around Meera that makes it impossible for them to admit that she could ever make a mistake. The homosexuality controversy is just one example.

Goodman was crushed and followed their order, though he ended up republishing it as an unauthorized biography. He's cut ties with her and now claims that she's an occultist."

ABC AU: SA Health will 'no longer' partner with charity run by Brethren members, education minister refers schools to standards board

"SA Health says it will "no longer" partner with an organisation that is run by members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church following questions by the ABC.

Former members have spoken to the ABC about the church's rules, views on women and position on university attendance, describing it as a "cult".

The claim has been denied by the church with a spokesperson saying it was a global Christian fellowship that "lives peacefully amongst neighbours all over the world".

The group received more than $450,000 from taxpayers in the last reporting period.

A spokesperson for RRT said it had completed half a dozen events with SA Health since 2020 with one more scheduled at the time of questioning.

However, when asked about the partnership an SA Health spokesperson said, "it would not be partnering with the organisation".

It did partner with the group weeks later at an event at the hospital in Mount Barker.

Church members run a charity called the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) which supports emergency service workers."

"SÃO PAULO – Brazilian-born Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder of the traditionalist Catholic group "Heralds of the Gospel," died Nov. 1 at 85, struggling with the consequences of a stroke that occurred 14 years ago.

In less than 30 years, the controversial leader built a lay and clerical society present in over 70 countries and has schools and education centers all over the world.

While he was seen by his followers as the key figure in a future process of Catholic restoration of a world degraded by secularism and moral decay, critics accused him of being a narcissistic wannabe-dictator who created a personal cult around himself.

What seems undeniable is that Clá Dias managed to use his charismatic personality, his vast cultural formation, and his obstinacy to transform a largely defunct civic organization – the Brazilian Society in Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) – into a massive group operating under the Vatican's blessing."

TFP initially gathered members of the traditional elites such as de Oliveira, who dreamed of restoring monarchy in the country (which had been abolished in 1889) and of expanding the Church's political power. Freemasons, communists and hippies would prepare the way for revolution, which he once defined as the 'second original sin'. That was the motivation, de Oliveira felt, to struggle against communism and the New Left infiltration in institutions, in education, and in the Church.

TFP would become notorious for its criticism of progressive clergy and Liberation Theology, at times directly targeting bishops and even the pontiff. It supported the Tridentine Mass and repudiated the Second Vatican Council.

Clá Dias proved fundamental in TFP's expansion over the decades, helping to implement a donation-collection system and to shape the religious dimension of the group, which tended to have a more political public presence."

This morning, The Irish Times reported that the controversial church had recruited numerous asylum seekers residing at the tented accommodation in Crooksling to leaflet and volunteer in the church.

The volunteers received certificates for their participation and were told that this volunteer work would aid them in their applications for international protection."

"A historic appeal case will take place at the Oslo Appeal Court from February 3-14, 2025, with critical testimonies scheduled for February 7 and 10. This case, brought by Jehovah's Witnesses (JW) against the Norwegian State, has the potential to reshape how mandated shunning is understood and addressed legally.

The Norwegian State previously revoked JW's status as a recognized religion, stripping the organization of annual financial support of approximately €1.6 million. This decision was largely driven by the efforts of Jan Frode Nilsen, a former Jehovah's Witness and a victim of mandated shunning, who courageously brought the issue to the attention of Norwegian authorities. Through his tireless advocacy, Jan provided the State with insight into the harmful practices of mandated shunning, amplifying the voices of victims who often suffer in silence. His work has made it clear that this is not merely a local issue but a global one, affecting hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide.

Now, Jehovah's Witnesses are appealing the State's decision for the third time in five years, claiming procedural reforms. However, victims and advocates, including Jan, maintain that these changes do little to address the systemic harm caused by mandated shunning."

"  ... In the 1980s many attempts were made by individuals doing interventions to get together to find ways to improve our profession and ourselves. But a difficulty arose in the definition of exit counseling and deprogramming. Some helping organizations at the time contributed to that confusion by maintaining a position that there was voluntary and involuntary exit counseling and voluntary and involuntary deprogramming. As a result, without the ability to establish a clear-cut definition, at those meetings people who called themselves exit counselors but were doing involuntary deprogramming could not be excluded and our work to establish ethical guidelines and a more professional approach spun its wheels, so to speak. A group of individuals who had committed themselves to voluntary interventions only began to meet regularly to share ideas and information and to develop Ethical Standards. We formed an organization of Thought Reform Consultants and eventually published our Ethical Standards. Unknown truck driver booked after death of Kripalu Maharaj’s daughter.

Greater Noida: Police have registered an FIR in the death of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj’s elder daughter Vishakha Tripathi who was killed in a vehicular collision in Dankaur while en route to Delhi in early hours on Sunday.

The FIR has been registered based on the complaint from her car’s driver, Praveen Mundbhari, who suggested potential foul play.

“We left from Vrindavan towards Delhi accompanied by three additional vehicles. At approximately 3:30 am on the Yamuna Expressway, the convoy halted on the roadside, 7 kms before Greater Noida. Subsequently, a truck approached at considerable high speed and struck the vehicles. All the three cars were badly damaged, and the truck driver absconded post-incident,” Praveen mentioned in his complaint.

“It can be suspected that the truck driver deliberately hit the car and fled away to carry out a pre-planned murder,” Praveen mentioned in his complaint.

SHO Dankaur Munendra Kumar said that on the basis of complaint, an FIR under BNS sections 106 (1) (causing death by negligence), 281 (rash or negligent driving or riding on public roads), 125(a)(b) (any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others) and 324 (2) (causing wrongful damage or loss to individuals

or the public).

Police said that the truck helper, Bablu, driver Sonu, both residents of Farrukhabad have been identified.

“The helper of the truck has been arrested and efforts are being made to arrest the driver. Further investigation is underway. All the claims made by the complainants will be verified,” police said.

The three daughters of Kripalu Maharaj were travelling from Mathura to Delhi Airport in two vehicles during the early hours of Sunday. Near Dankaur, a speeding tanker collided with their vehicle from behind. The incident resulted in the demise of Vishakha Tripathi (78), while sisters Shyama Tripathi and Krishna Tripathi sustained grievous injuries. Seven additional individuals were also wounded in the collision.

The last rites of Dr Vishakha Tripathi, daughter of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj, will be held in Vrindavan on Monday. Her body arrived at Prem Mandir, where followers gathered for a final viewing. Over 3,000 people came to pay their respects. Her sister, Dr Shyama Tripathi, was also present despite being injured.

Dr Vishakha Tripathi and her sisters were involved in an accident in Dankaur. They were hit by a canter on the expressway. All three sisters and five followers were taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, Dr Vishakha did not survive. Her body was brought to Prem Mandir at 4:00 PM.

Her body was placed next to the statues of her parents, Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj and Padma Devi. Many mourners expressed their grief. The hall echoed with chants of "Radhe Radhe." Her last journey will begin at 6:00 AM on 28 November. The rites will take place by the Yamuna River.

From Tuesday, the public can visit for the last darshan. Ajay Tripathi, a spokesperson for Prem Mandir, said many followers from abroad are expected to arrive. The temple will remain open for visitors during this time.

The driver of the convoy suspects foul play in the accident. A case has been filed based on Praveen's complaint. He claims the canter driver was unaware of hitting parked cars. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the canter's path.

The canter driver, Sonu, has been arrested in Firozabad. Police are questioning him about the incident. Praveen accuses him of deliberately causing the crash. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about this tragic event.

Yamuna Expressway mishap: A fatal accident on the Yamuna Expressway claimed the life of Vishakha Tripathi, 72, daughter of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj. (Screengrab @X | Priya Rana)

The daughter of Kripalu Maharaj's died in a major accident on the Yamuna Expressway while her two sisters suffered injuries.

The accident took place on the route from Agra to Noida in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district at around 3:00 am.

The eldest daughter of Maharaj, Vishakha Tripathi (72), succumbed to injuries following the fatal road accident.

Around eight people were injured in the mishap after a canter struck two cars in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district, reported PTI quoting official.

Dr Shyama Tripathi (66) and Dr Krishna Tripathi (68) —  the other two daughters of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj — sustained injuries. 

The other five injured people were identified as Hansa Patel, Kanchan Patel, Garima Gupta, Sanjay Malik and Deepak Bhareja. All the injured were rushed to Apollo Hospital in Delhi.

“A canter on the Yamuna Expressway near the 8 kilometer board on the way from Agra to Noida, hit two cars from behind, injuring eight people,” PTI quoted the District Police Commissionerate as saying.

Vishakha Tripathi along with her sisters was en-route to Vrindavan via Delhi when the fatal crash happened. As per the schedule, Vishakha Tripathi, who served as president of Jagadgaru Kripalu Parishat Bhaktidham, was slated to leave for Singhapur for a three-day visit, Jagran reported. Vishakha Tripathi was seated in one of the two cars while the other two sisters were in another car.

Vishakha Tripathi and Vrindavan Administrator Sanjay, both of whom suffered severe injuries after the canter overturned on their car, reported Live Hindustan. 

The canter had overtaken both the cars but suddenly lost control. The other car driven by serviceman Deepak, in which other two sisters were travelling, rammed into the two vehicles.

According to Live Hindustan's report, Vishakha Tripathi's mortal remains will be taken to Prem Mandir in Vrindavan by 4:00 pm. 

A three-day mourning has been declared in Mangarh. Followers will be able to pay their respects before the cremation services on the banks of Yamuna on Monday. 

Vishakha Tripathi's last rites will reportedly be performed in Vrindavan. Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat in a condolence message said that it is with great sorrow that it has to be informed that the President of Bhakti Dham, Dr Vishakha Tripathi has unfortunately passed away and her last rites will be performed in Vrindavan, reported PTI.

In a tragic accident on Sunday, Vishakha Tripathi, 75, the eldest daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj, lost her life after a truck collided with her car on the Yamuna Expressway.

Noida: The daughter of spiritual leader Kripalu Maharaj was killed on Sunday after a truck rammed into her car here, police said.

Vishakha Tripathi (75) along with her two sisters and five others was travelling to Delhi from Vrindavan via Yamuna Expressway, in two cars. From there, they were to travel to Singapore, police said.

On Sunday morning, a canter driver hit both cars in the Dankaur area. Eight people including Maharaj's three daughters were seriously injured in the accident, a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said that the victims were admitted to hospitals in Noida and Delhi for treatment, where Vishakha Tripathi died. Seven other people, including the sisters, Krishna Tripathi and Shyama Tripathi, were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment.

Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat in a condolence message said that it is with great sorrow that it has to be informed that the President of Bhakti Dham, Dr Vishakha Tripathi has unfortunately passed away and her last rites will be performed in Vrindavan.

Mathura: Dr Vishakha Tripathi, the elder daughter of Indian spiritual guru Jagatguru Kripalu Maharaj, died and her two other sisters were seriously injured in a road accident on Sunday, the police said. The accident took place while she, along with her younger sisters, Shyama, 69, and Krishna Tripathi, 67, were heading from Mathura to Noida on Sunday morning, the police added. Soon after the accident, a police team reached the spot and admitted the injured to Kailash Hospital in Noida where Vishakha breathed her last while undergoing treatment. According to sources, the three sisters had planned to go to Singapore for personal work, therefore, they were going to Delhi by car to board the flight. At that time, a speeding Canter hit back-to-back two cars on Yamuna Expressway, sources added.

According to officials, the 75-year-old Vishakha Tripathi's body will reach Vrindavan late on Sunday evening, and the last rite will be performed on the banks of the Yamuna River. Dr Vishakha Tripathi was the president of the Prem Mandir of Vrindavan and the Mangadi Mandir of Pratapgarh. Soon after receiving the information, the officials from Vrindavan Prem Mandir left for Noida. After the death of Jagatguru Kripalu Maharaj, Dr Vishakha Tripathi became the president of Prem Mandir of Vrindavan and Mangadi Mandir of Pratapgarh.
