Disturbing pornographic photos of one of the women lured into the NXIVM sex cult provoked wincing from jurors who viewed them Thursday for the first time.
The photos, 18 of them allegedly taken in 2005, captured the now-grown woman known to jurors as the underage “sex slave” Camila when she was only 15 years old.
Page by page, a female FBI agent who displayed them in a binder silently flipped through them for jurors to see. She did not show them to the entire courtroom.
Some jurors sat stone-faced during the presentation. Others grimaced. And some looked longer than others.
As they reacted, so did Keith Raniere, who is accused of sex trafficking and requiring Camila have sex with him, send him “crotch” shots and recruit virgins for his upstate harem.
Raniere furiously scribbled notes and passed them to his lawyers as the jurors viewed the photos.
