Upcoming singing reality show Om Shanti Om will soon hit TV screens. The show has been creating a lot of buzz ahead of its national premiere, mainly because the show will see Yoga guru Baba Ramdev as a judge for the first time.
Here are a few things you should know about the reality show:
Om Shanti Om will see Yoga guru Baba Ramdev as Mahaguru for the first time
Yes, you read that right. Ramdev recently gave a statement claiming that the show will change the way devotional music is perceived. Ramdev has made appearances on reality shows before.
The show will be judged by Shekhar Ravjiani, Sonakshi Sinha, and Kanika Kapoor
While both Shekhar and Sonakshi have judged reality shows before, this will be the first time Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor will don the hat of a reality show judge.
Dangal actor Aparshakti Khurana will host the show
Om Shanti Om will be hosted by Aparshakti Khurana, who won everyone's heart with his charming performance in Aamir Khan's Dangal.
The show will be the first of its kind
A reality show centered around devotional music has not been tried before on Indian TV. The concept of the show has attracted a lot of attention. The show is being produced by Colosceum Media, that has produced shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and MasterChef.
Ranveer Singh to perform on the show
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh will be seen lighting up the stage with his entertaining performance on the first episode of the show. Earlier there were reports that the actor would also host the first episode of Om Shanti Om, but that is not true.
Om Shanti Om will to premiere on August 28 on Star Bharat.
