What Happened to the TM Advanced Technique Teacher and Chief Disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?

Swami Guru Devanand Saraswati
Chief Disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?

SWAMI GURU DEVANAND SARASWATI JI MAHARAJ was a spiritual master of the ascetic order of Shankara in India, and studied for an extended period of time in the Himalayan mountains. First, he studied under the revered and celebrated spiritual master: Mauna Swami (the Swami of Silence), who lived at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters above sea level. Later, he studied with the late Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Swami Shantanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj.
Swami Guru Devanand preached the Philosophy of Mantra Yoga Meditation, which is the ultimate Mystical Key to contact the inner-self, the source of energy, peace and happiness. Many great sages and saints have practiced Mantra Yoga Meditation regularly for more than fifty centuries.

With the firm objective of reaching world peace through individual peace, Swami Guru Devanand went into the world in a gesture of commitment, dedication, and love for humanity. During more than 40 years, this great Being traveled East and West bringing a message of peace, love, harmony, truth and union in His heart and lips. His profoundness, as well as the example and sacred teaching that He left as His legacy, has made an indelible impact in the heart of the West. Many countries currently benefit from this magnificent philosophical discipline.

“It would be a mere presumption on my part to try to elucidate even a fraction of the marvelous contents of the Sacred Scriptures of the Vedas. If one could transform all the trees and plants of the universe into paper and transform all the waters of the oceans into ink, it would still not be sufficient to write about the Eternal glories, marvels and grandeur of the All Mighty Creator and his Creation. Just as a deep mine of the purest gold cannot be found at the surface of the Earth, its rich veins will only reward those who have the patience to carry the lamp of faith for many years, even during times of darkness. If one could maintain firmly that flame of access to the Absolute Truth, until somehow or somewhere, by the Grace of a Great Master or Guru, our inner flame would guide us forward and upwards into the presence of the Creator himself. It is then that we would discover that which is revealed to few and hidden to most.”

Interesting, there is no mention of Maharishi.
