A new court filing describes changes in the Fundamentalist Church of Latter-Day Saints in recent weeks.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for Utah says imprisoned FLDS President Warren Jeffs has kicked everyone out of the United Order, the elite echelon of the FLDS. Anyone who had achieved that status must be reinterviewed so his or her worthiness can be judged again and then must be baptized again, the filing says.

The man who will conduct the interviews, according to the filing, is Nephi Jeffs, one of Warren's full brothers. Warren has made him the new bishop of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz., the traditional home base of the church.

That job had belonged to Lyle Jeffs, who fled home confinement in mid-June. He remains on the run.

Prosecutors did not disclose the source of their information. The filing was made in anticipation of a hearing Tuesday for another Jeffs brother, Seth Jeffs, and John Wayman. They and Lyle Jeffs are three of 11 defendants charged with crimes related to a food stamp scheme. Seth Jeffs and Wayman were rearrested last week on suspicion of violating the terms of their pre-trial release.
