Kochi: Priyan, who is facing allegations of murdering former Sivagiri Mutt chief Swamy Saswathikananda, has moved the Kerala High Court seeking a CBI probe into the case.

In his petition, Priyan requested the court to stop the Crime Branch's investigation into the case that the state government ordered the other day. The court is likely to consider the petition on Tuesday.

Sree Narayana Dharma Vedi leader Biju Ramesh said Saswathikananda Swami was murdered by a hired goon named Priyan at the behest of Vellappally Natesan.

Priyan had already denied the allegations. He moved the High Court saying the state police' probe into the case was not satisfactory.

Swami, head of the Ezhava spiritual centre Sivagiri mutt, was drowned in Periyar river in July, 2002 while he was taking bath near Advaitashramam at Aluva near Kochi.
