Victor Barnard’s defense attorney Marsh Halberg said in email Monday night that the Brazilian Supreme Court approved the extradition that Barnard requested.

The U.S. government has six months to extradite him, Halberg said.

However, Halberg said he doesn’t know if the condition will be agreed upon by the U.S. government.

Halberg added that his law firm “awaits his return so the speculation and misinformation that exists in this case can be corrected.”
