"In celebration of Lennon’s 80th birthday, Gathr Films will be releasing its feature film documentary Meeting the Beatles in India chronicling the group’s iconic trip to Northern India. In 1968, The Beatles traveled to Rishikesh to study transcendental meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
The life-changing trip marked the band’s most productive period of songwriting as it spawned much of the material on The Beatles (also known as “The White Album”), as well as songs appearing on Abbey Road and other solo ventures.
Filmmaker Paul Saltzman was with The Beatles in India as the film retraces his journey 50 years later. Meeting the Beatles in India features never-before-seen videos and photos from their time in India making the film a must-watch for any Beatles fan."
