Legislative & LegalAnadolu Agency: German police raid properties linked to banned neo-Nazi group
German federal law enforcement agencies have successfully executed a series of highly coordinated, large-scale tactical raids on multiple residential and commercial properties directly connected to a recently banned neo-Nazi extremist organization.
The specifically targeted group, widely known for its deeply rooted, highly aggressive far-right ideology, has long been strictly monitored by domestic intelligence services. The organization actively promoted virulent racism, dangerous antisemitism, and violent anti-democratic sentiments. It operated deceptively under the false guise of traditional cultural preservation while systematically indoctrinating its dedicated members, including young children, into a heavily militarized, fiercely white supremacist worldview.
During the early morning, high-stakes operations, heavily armed police tactical units efficiently seized extensive quantities of illegal propaganda materials, encrypted digital storage devices, and hidden financial records. Authorities strongly suspect that the extremist group had been actively and covertly attempting to bypass the federal government ban by rapidly reorganizing under entirely new operational names and utilizing highly secretive online communication networks.
Interior Ministry officials publicly stated that these aggressive, widespread raids send a definitive, uncompromising message that the German state will relentlessly pursue and completely dismantle unconstitutional extremist networks threatening public safety.
Luxurylaunches: Qatar billionaire royal lost jewels to Florida psychic
The former prime minister of Qatar, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani (HBJ), lost nearly $100 million in rare jewels after his trusted personal assistant fell victim to an elaborate, multi-year scam orchestrated by a Florida-based psychic.
Operating under the alias “1111Giovanni1111” on the online psychic platform Purple Garden, John Lee spent three years cultivating the assistant’s trust. Lee eventually convinced the assistant that her personal jewelry, and subsequently her employer's extraordinary collection, were infected with negative energy and desperately required an “aura cleanse.”
Thoroughly manipulated by the deception, the assistant accessed a high-security, camera-protected palace vault in Doha in June 2022. She believed Lee had cast a powerful spell to render her completely invisible to surveillance. Over a series of weeks, she casually FedExed over 40 royal jewels 7,700 miles away to Davenport, Florida. The shipped valuables included a $31 million flawless Fancy Vivid pink diamond and a $22.1 million cushion-cut diamond necklace.
The massive heist unraveled when Lee refused to return the priceless items, citing fake customs issues, and failed to appear at a promised meeting in Cannes. The assistant confessed to HBJ's security team, triggering a major FBI investigation that recovered the 40 pieces and sent Lee to federal prison.
Arab News PK: Kenya cult leader on trial for manslaughter over mass deaths Self-proclaimed pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie recently appeared in a Mombasa court, facing manslaughter charges linked to the starvation deaths of more than 400 followers. Mackenzie, who led the fringe Good News International Church, allegedly coerced his congregation into extreme starvation by falsely promising that doing so would allow them to physically "meet Jesus."The grisly discovery of hundreds of bodies in the Shakahola forest has shocked the international community and deeply scarred Kenya. While the majority of the victims tragically perished from hunger, forensic autopsies revealed that several others, including young children, were brutally suffocated, beaten, or strangled, further complicating the severe nature of the charges against the church leadership.
Prosecutors have prepared over 420 witnesses for the unprecedented trial, describing it as a wholly unique case involving a deadly suicide pact. Alongside manslaughter, Mackenzie and his 94 co-defendants face terrorism and child torture charges, prompting ongoing Kenyan government efforts to implement a hybrid model of state oversight for religious institutions.
DW: South Korea hands jail term to Unification Church leader Hak Ja Han, the prominent leader of South Korea's secretive Unification Church, has been sentenced to two years in prison by the Seoul Central District Court on serious bribery charges. The 83-year-old widow of church founder Sun Myung Moon was found guilty of funneling illicit funds and luxury gifts to high-ranking political figures.
The court determined that Han engaged in illegal political funding by funneling 100 million won to a ruling-party lawmaker ahead of the 2022 presidential election. Furthermore, she was convicted of utilizing an intermediary to pass expensive gifts, including Chanel handbags and diamond jewelry, to former First Lady Kim Keon Hee in a bid to secure governmental favors.
The verdict highlights ongoing concerns over the Unification Church's controversial attempts to expand its political influence and extract preferential treatment from the government. Despite Han firmly denying the allegations and her legal team's intent to appeal, the ruling represents a significant crackdown on religious-political collusion in South Korea.
